AP Photo/Fox, Michael Becker

Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine were in the bottom three with Testone, but they’ll be back next Wednesday to compete in the top five.  Some 58 million votes were cast to decide this week’s results.
The Queen Extravaganza, a band formed by original members Roger Taylor and Brian May through an Internet competition, opened the show with a performance of the Queen classic, “Somebody to Love.”
The top six visited the TMZ offices in Los Angeles for a few lessons on how to deal with the intrusive media now that they’re celebrities.
Season 10′s Stefano Langone returned to sing his new single, “I’m on a Roll,” with help from Ben J from New Boyz. Fellow season 10 contestant Casey Abrams was also on hand to give the top six some advice going into the “Idol” tour this summer.
Katy Perry was lowered onto the stage to sing her latest hit, “Part of Me.” She was backed up by troupe of dancers all wearing camouflage to go with the war zone-like set.

SPOILER ALERT: 'American Idol' Top 5 finalized!

Jessica Sanchez ("Dance With My Father," American Idol, 2012)

MANILA, Philippines- Filipino-Mexican singer Jessica Sanchez made it to the Top 5 of American Idol Friday (Manila time) after escaping the dreaded "bottom three" despite lukewarm reviews for her rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody."
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest said that 58 million votes came in after the Top 6 performance night, where the remaining finalists sang two songs each.
Sanchez and Elise Testone were the first pair to be called on to the stage by Seacrest in the tense results show. Testone was eventually placed in the bottom three, where she was eventually eliminated.
Joining Sanchez in the Top 5 are Phillip Phillips, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet and Hollie Cavanagh.
With the lone save from season 11 gone and only six American Idol hopefuls remaining, the Filipino-Mexican singer  expressed her fear about the results  night.
In a message posted via her Twitter account, just minutes before American Idol trims the Idol finalists to five, Sanchez was concerned she may not have done enough.
"Really scared about tonight. #idol," she tweeted.
Sanchez received mixed reviews from Idol judges for her rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", which has been a staple in past seasons of the hit reality TV show. Jennifer Lopez and rock icon Steve Tyler, who is Aerosmith's frontman, both felt Sanchez just wasn't "rock" enough.
But for her second song, Luther Vandross's "Dance With My Father" Sanchez warmed the hearts of all three judges including Randy Jackson.
View her performances here.
Sanchez was eliminated two weeks ago after failing to garner enough votes to buoy her to the next round. She was eventually saved by the judges. After landing in the dreaded "bottom three" for the first time, Sanchez had been drumming up support from her fans to vote for her.
So far, the Filipino-American community in the US has been the most visible in trumpeting calls for more votes for the singer.
"There's no more save... Each votes really makes a difference!" she tweeted.

Jessica Sanchez' Dance With My Father connects with AI judges

Jessica Sanchez made the emotional connection American Idol judges were looking for on Wednesday's round of performances.
Performing the Luther Vandross hit "Dance With My Father," Sanchez conveyed a raw emotion and tenderness that won over Jennifer Lopez.
"Luther Vandross is one of my favorite singers of all time. That may have been the best. The tenderness, feeling, vocal ability -- everything," Lopez said noting Sanchez's ability to control the performance and make a connection. "The most beautiful I've ever heard it."

While he admits Jessica has her "own thing," Steven Tyler likened the performance to that of the late Whitney Houston.
"You know I don't think you can sing a bad song," said Tyler. "Touches on Whitney but you've got your own thing going on."

Randy Jackson agreed with both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
"Yo I'm just so amazed at the talent this year. You are truly amazing to me. You are so natural. It flows," said Jackson. "Now you're making that connection. Every time you get up and sing, you know what's wrong with it ? Absolutely nothing!"
"Dance With My Father" was the second performance of the night for Sanchez. She had also performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" in a tribute to Queen.
Sanchez will face elimination with the remainder of the top 6 when American Idol returns to name the season's top 5.
American Idol, the results show, airs Thursday night at 8pm on FOX.

Anne Curtis rides the MRT for the third time!

ONE OF THE BEST REASON WHY I LOVE ANNE CURTIS SOOO MUCH! SHE'S SO DOWN TO EARTH! ANNE, YOU'RE THE SWEETEST!

Anne Curtis did not think twice about riding an MRT again

MANILA, Philippines
 - TV host and actress Anne Curtis was in a hurry to catch the live telecast of “It’s Showtime” on Tuesday, April 17, that she decided to take the MRT again. This would be her third time to take the said public transportation.

Blogger James Hernando of Gravityymind posted some photos of Anne while inside the MRT. She was caught in one photo happily posing with a female fan, then seated with fellow passengers.
James, in his blog, lauded Anne’s down-to-earth demeanor.
“Sa totoo lang [ay] madalang ka na lang makakakita ng artista na katulad niya na hindi mag-iinarte na magpa-picture sa mga tao kahit ‘yung sumakay sa mga ganitong klase ng sasakyan walang problema sa kanya,” he said on his blog, April 17.
The first time Anne rode the MRT was on July 5, 2011. The actress was then rushing to watch the concert of Kylie Minogue at the Araneta Coliseum. Coming from the airport and stuck in traffic, she felt she would not be able to catch up with the concert if she stayed in the car.
Immediately, Anne tweeted her first MRT experience, asking her followers on Twitter: “Hulaan nyo kung nasaan ako para makahabol kay #Kylie? :p,"
The message came with her photo that was taken inside MRT.
Then she posted a series of tweets.
“I'm in the girls area! They're all nice! Swerte daw ako at hindi masyado siksikan! :)”
“Don't worry guys! I'm with my angel Maryann! And mababait lahat ng girls! D magulo! Picture picture taking lang at chikahan!”
“I like the fact that there's a ladies and men's section! Thumbs up!”
In the end, Anne felt she made the right move.
“I can see the traffic on Edsa from here! I made the right decision! :),” she said.
On August 2, 2011, Anne again rode an MRT, this time to avoid tremendous traffic jam as typhoon Kabayan was wreaking havoc in Manila. She was then with her younger sister Jasmine Curtis Smith. She was trying to beat time as she would be late for her hosting stint on “Showtime.
Excitedly, Anne tweeted about her second MRT experience.
“MRT take 2 with @jascurtissmith! We're near na!!!! Showtime wait for us!!!”
This was followed by another tweet, “I think I should be the ambassador for public transportation na! Haha. I love how fast the MRT is! Can you get a card for it na pwede mag-load? Like an oyster or myki card?”
The actress lauded her younger sister’s attitude in riding a public transit.
“Thanks to my beautiful baby @jascurtissmith for being game to jump out of the car, duck under the railings along Santolan, run up the flooded stairs with the rain pouring down as hard as and catch the MRT with me! Her sneakers and socks are drenched but I haven't heard a simple complaint!”

AMERICAN IDOL UPDATE: Jessica Sanchez Gets The Lowest Vote! (04-12-12)

Now that’s a shocker!
Jessica Sanchez, one of the Idol hopefuls that can really blow you away in every performance, gets the lowest vote in this week’s elimination.
She performed every week with great feed backs from the judges, as well as last night’s performance, but what happened and America gave her the bottom seat?
I haven’t seen the broadcast yet, it will be broadcast later tonight, but reports said that she, Jessica SanchezJoshua Ledet (another great Idol hopeful) and Elise Testone are in the bottom three.
As soon as Ryan Seacrest send Ledet and Testone to safety.  Audience started booing, contestants are shocked and the judges are outraged.
Like in every weeks elimination she will sing for her life.  She sang  ”Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” to convince the judges to save her.  According to NewsDay.com
…Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson storm up on stage after she starts to sing and interrupt.
Lopez shouts, “You’re not going home! This is ridiculous! We’re using the save!” An angry Jackson then grabs the mic and says, “This girl is one of the best singers in America — are you kidding me?! Everyone, please vote for the best!”

I expected that the judges will be saving her or Joshua Ledet, whoever gets the lowest vote.  It was a good strategy not to use the save option in the earlier weeks.

Next time, America, vote whoever is the best.  Putting Jessica Sanchez, or Joshua Ledet, in the bottom three are ridiculous!

HERE'S THE VIDEO.
